Built with Care, Providing Hope
Expanding much needed pediatric in-patient and emergency care capacity, including the country's first dedicated inpatient cancer care unit for teens and young adults.

Constructed on the fully operational Seattle Children's Hospital campus, this 330,000, eight-story addition features up to 192 beds, nurse stations, patient rooms, prenatal support spaces, exam rooms, and an Emergency Department. The design focused on end user functionality, incorporating feedback from a diverse stakeholder group of caregivers and family representatives to deliver an operationally efficient and patient-centered care environment. This approach ultimately reduced caregiver travel distances and increased time with patients. Due to the project site logistical challenges, we coordinated closely with the team for just-in-time deliveries and disruption avoidance measures.
